Reduced EDT Driving Lessons Designed for You
Welcome to Reduced EDT Driving lessons brand new website dedicated to providing EDT Training and information, the Reduced EDT (Essential Driver Training) driving lessons refer to a streamlined version of the mandatory EDT program for learner drivers in Ireland designed by the RSA. Typically, learner drivers are required to complete 12 lessons as part of their EDT training. However, under certain circumstances, drivers may qualify for reduced EDT lessons, meaning they are required to complete only six lessons instead of the full 12.
This option is available to individuals who already hold a full driving license from another EU or EEA member state, or from a country with which Ireland has a license exchange agreement (such as Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa). To avail of reduced EDT, eligible drivers must provide proof of their foreign license and meet any additional requirements set by the Road Safety Authority (RSA).
By completing the reduced EDT program, drivers can focus on understanding Irish road rules and driving practices while preparing for their driving test, if applicable.
